Kirsty's Kitchen

ABOUT US

Both my husband and I love good food. Having spent a great deal of our lives travelling the globe sampling some real delights we realised that food is central to many cultures way of life and that the main ingredients to any good food should be the love of the food that you are creating.

We settled down in the West Country, North Tawton - Devon where there is an abundance of great producers and enough wild places to go foraging for those special ingredients we so adore. We live in the center of Devon so all the surrounding towns and villages are within easy reach, Exeter, Chagford, Okehampton, Crediton, Totnes and Newton Abbott - so many fantastic places to explore!

Although many of our products are currently not exclusively locally sourced, we are working on it! Our ultimate aim is to produce everything using food sourced from the West Country. You'll have to keep checking on our progress to see how we are getting on! We do rely on seasonal fruits and produce to keep costs down, and to keep with whats available locally, so as the seasons come and go you will see new products coming available.

Our kitchen is a hive of activity (unless we're asleep!) The kitchen has always been the hub of our family and the love that has gone into our food has been shared through many good meals and parties with our friends and family.

My passion for food goes back a long way - I have been eating the stuff almost constantly since I was born and ever since I met my husband Nick, I have been feeding him too!! ....but jokes aside..I love to cook, and spend my time thinking and planning food - even daily meals for my family are cooked with love from scratch.

We now want to be able to share the fruits of our labours with more people and make a living doing what we love most. Our belief is that food should be made using the best ingredients possible, that means they should be: locally produced (if possible), fresh, unadulterated, produced ethically, and really tasty!
